Cooking Tips & Tricks for SPICY Keto Egg Roll Bowls (Crack Slaw)
- Serving kids? Serve with plain mayo and skip the hot sauce mayo for them. If they complain about even the slightest hint of spice, leave the chili garlic sauce out of the cooking sauce too.
- Meat substitutes? This recipe calls for pork but you can substitute ground beef or chicken
- Leftover keto crack slaw? Keep in the fridge in a covered container for 2-3 days
- Freeze leftovers? Keto egg roll bowl can be frozen in an airtight container for 2-3 months
- In a hurry? Use a pre-packed coleslaw mix to save time on chopping the cabbage. Look for one with no carrot or just a tiny amount to keep the carbs low.
- Not spicy enough? Additional chili garlic sauce or hot sauce may be used if even more spice is desired
- If pork is too lean, 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil may be added for cooking veggies
- Carb eaters? This is a great meal on its own but can be served over rice if your family want their carbs
How to make Keto Pork Egg Roll Recipe
Start by dicing the onion, red peppers and mince the garlic.
Cook the ground pork until fat just starts to render, then add the peppers, onion and garlic. Continue breaking the pork up until it is fully cooked: about 8-10 minutes.
Whisk together the tamari, vinegar, chili garlic sauce, ginger and sweetener (I used erythritol)
Pour the mixture over the pork mixture and allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Add the cabbage and cook for 3-4 minutes until the cabbage is tender.
Mix together the mayo and 1 tbsp hot sauce. Divide the pork mixture into 4 bowls and pour the hot mayo over each serving. Skip this step for kids or just add some plain mayo.
Top with cilantro and sesame seeds as desired.

How big is one serving?

The whole recipe serves 4, so 1 serve is a quarter of the total cooked recipe. Hope that helps!
